Superior precision Press Fit Straight Guide Pins are manufactured of alloy steel, hardened, and then precision ground to provide excellent wear characteristics and a low coefficient of friction. These press fit guide pins can be used with Superior's complete line of guide bushings.

Superior Shoulder Guide Pins are manufactured from alloy steel, hardened, and then precision ground. The press fit diameter of Superior Shoulder Guide Pins is the same as the press fit diameter of the corresponding press fit bushing. This allows for boring of the same size hole in the punch holder and die shoe. The press fit diameter of Superior shoulder guide pins is .012"-.015" oversize to allow grinding stock for precision fitting.

Superior Demountable Shoulder Bushings are available in steel or bronze with 1", 2", or 3" standard shoulder heights. Both steel and bronze demountable bushings are designed for a wring fit. Steel demountable shoulder bushings are manufactured from alloy steel, hardened, and precision ground. Bronze demountable bushings are manufactured of quality aluminum bronze. This provides excellent resistance to seizing and scoring. Bronze bushings are typically used in high speed applications.

Bronze-Rite Standard Shoulder Bushings

Superior Bronze-Rite Shoulder Demountable Bushings are manufactured from alloy steel, hardened, and then fused with bronze. This type of guide bushing is typically used for high speed press operations where side thrust loads are encountered. Superior Bronze Rite bushings are designed for a wring fit.

Superior Demountable Guide Pins are manufactured from alloy steel, hardened, and then precision ground. For easy removal, demountable guide pins are secured to die shoe with clamps and socket head cap screws. The ground shoulder of the clamping flange fits squarely against the surface of the die shoe. Demountable guide pins are furnished complete with clamps and screws.
